What Alerts is

Alerts push autonomous insights to you, so you stay informed without babysitting dashboards. DataGenie’s autonomous detection engine runs continuously across 100,000s of metric combinations — Alerts is how those insights reach your inbox, Slack, Teams, or JIRA, on the cadence your workflow needs.

When to use Alerts

  • You want regular monitoring for key KPIs (daily, weekly, monthly)
  • You want a lightweight way to stay informed without logging in frequently
  • You want to track a KPI for a specific segment (country, channel, cohort)

What you configure

Dataset

The dataset you want to monitor.

Cadence

How often the alert runs (for example: daily, weekly, monthly).

Scope

Optional filters to focus on a specific segment or view.

Recipients

Who should receive the alert.

Content volume

How many insights to include so the update stays readable.

Links to follow-up

Quick access back to the relevant insight for deeper investigation.

How to set up an alert

1

Choose the dataset

Select the dataset you want to monitor.
2

Set the cadence

Pick how frequently you want the update (daily, weekly, monthly).
3

Add scope (optional)

4

Select recipients

Add the people who should receive the alert.
5

Review and save

Confirm the settings and save the alert.

Tips for effective alerts

Keep alerts focused. Start with one dataset and a small number of insights, then expand once the signal quality matches your workflow.
